We normally conduct our initial behaviour consultation in your home but for dogs that get stressed by visitors we may conduct the consultation at another venue. Remedial work and follow ups may take place in other environments depending on what work we feel needs to be done. Our sessions are relaxed and informal and although we may ask many necessary questions we are here to HELP and not JUDGE. We will investigate and explore your dog’s current lifestyle /situation and try to discover the root cause of the problem and understand why your dog is displaying certain behaviours.

We understand that “ one size does not fit all “ and we have many different TOOLS to use in our “box“ which will help to build you a bespoke modification programme that is achievable for you in order to help change your dogs unwanted behaviour. We believe that there are no such thing as “ quick fixes “ and each person and dog is an individual and has different needs and learning abilities, and so we cannot guarantee timescales. It really does depend on the problem and what work needs to be done. Sometimes we may ask you to implement changes to you and your dog’s daily routine in order to help you and your dog but we understand the stresses of time constraints and modern society so we will work together to ensure it is do-able and achievable…little changes can make all the difference.

The initial consultation usually takes between 2-3 hours but we will take as long as you need and until you feel happy with what we have discussed During the consultation we will include some remedial /safety /management training if necessary for you to implement straight away and to run alongside the behaviour modification work programme.

We will issue you a full behaviour report and handouts where applicable for you to refer back to and use as a guide. The report will give you an overview of what we think the problem/s are and a plan to follow.
We usually advise a follow up session either; 1 week, 2 weeks or 4 weeks after the consultation depending on the problem.
We give 100% full back up and support with every case and you can book as many sessions as you feel you need to succeed whether face to face, over the telephone or by email.
We promise our commitment and support to you for as long as you and your dog need us.

  • PLEASE NOTE THE MAJORITY OF OUR BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATIONS REQUIRE A PRE VET CHECK AND WITH SUDDEN ONSET AGGRESSION AND ABNORMAL BEHAVIOUR CHANGES THEN WE WILL REQUIRE YOUR VET TO FILL IN A VETERINARY REFERRAL FORM PRIOR TO BOOKING AN INITIAL BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATION. WE ARE HAPPY TO WORK ALONGSIDE AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOUR VET WHERE NECESSARY.

  • IF WE FEEL THAT YOUR CASE IS BEYOND OUR PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY THEN WE WILL REFER YOU TO ANOTHER QUALIFIED AND HIGHLY EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL THAT WE RECOMMEND TO DEAL WITH YOUR CASE /SPECIFIC PROBLEM. WE WILL NOT JUST REFUSE YOUR CASE AND WE WILL ENSURE THAT YOU AND YOUR DOG RECEIVE THE APPROPRIATE HELP.

BAT or BEHAVIOUR ADJUSTMENT THERAPY is one of the techniques we use and was created by the brilliant trainer Grisha Stewart. BAT helps dogs to gain confidence and social skills and is especially useful when the triggers for frustration and fear are dogs or people .It is a method that allows safe controlled interactions and to socialise and interact with the dogs triggers whilst allowing the dog a CHOICE in its own rehabilitation. It is a fantastic method for working below “threshold“ and keeping the set up as stress free as possible and aims to change the dogs emotional response to its trigger and so change the behaviour.
